This set of eight (8) vintage Rosenthal Ivory fruit plates features beautifully rendered hand-painted fruit motifs surrounded by intricate molded detailing and gilt accents on a warm ivory porcelain ground. Made in Germany, each plate is marked “Rosenthal Ivory Germany,” U.S. Design Patent No. 87557, with hand-applied number 6085.
The set includes four coordinating fruit designs, with two plates of each. Measuring 8 3/8 inches in diameter, they are a lovely size for salads, luncheon courses, desserts, or display.
All eight plates are in lovely vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or utensil marks. Light wear to the gilt decoration is present along portions of some rims, consistent with age and gentle use.
