A striking example of Mottahedeh’s iconic Blue Canton collection, this large square porcelain bowl features the intricate cobalt blue landscapes, architectural scenes and floral details associated with the classic Canton pattern. A deep blue lattice border frames the gracefully shaped rim, while detailed decoration continues around the exterior and into the interior of the bowl.
Measuring 10¼ inches across, the substantial size and distinctive form make it a beautiful centerpiece for a dining table, sideboard, console or kitchen island. Use it as a serving bowl, fill it with fruit or decorative objects, or display it on its own among a collection of blue and white porcelain.
Mottahedeh’s Blue Canton pattern is inspired by historic Chinese export porcelain and works beautifully in traditional, chinoiserie and layered interiors.
