A classic Copeland Spode “Tower” footed vegetable bowl in rich cobalt blue and white, featuring a detailed pastoral scene framed by a floral border and softly scalloped rim. Originally part of a covered vegetable dish, this is the base only (no lid). Measures approximately 11” wide by 9” deep and 2.5” high and weighs about 2 lbs. Crafted in glazed earthenware (ceramic) with traditional blue transferware decoration. Marked “Copeland / Spodes Tower / England” on the underside. An early to mid-20th century example from this discontinued pattern. Very good vintage condition with minimal surface wear to the interior consistent with light storage and stacking rather than regular use. One small chip to a foot (shown), barely noticeable when placed on a tabletop. No crazing. The glaze remains glossy and the cobalt transfer is rich and vibrant. Complimentary shipping included.
